Study 67: Art Resolutions-More Catalpa

Art Resolutions is a self-imposed initiative to create an art study everyday for a year.

A trip from Cincinnati to Salt Lake City by air involves four hours of flying time. A big physical day installing my irrigation system in the heat and an early wake up, made napping a big part of my flight experience yesterday. In a few lucid moments, I worked on the catalpa by memory and experimented with how to make the top leaves pat if but differentiated from those underlying and less defined because of the shadows. I’ll look forward to going back to a visual reference and trying watercolor again.
