Study 42: Art Resolutions-Layers of Transformation

Art Resolutions is a self-imposed initiative to create an art study every day for a year. Welcome to Study 42.

A good metaphor brings great satisfaction and pleasure. Sharing some of the delight of a perfect fitting garment. So it has been with the peony this week. Pencil then watercolor then e-watercolor then colored pencil and more colored pencil. Different textures combined on the object itself but it is the background that is most interesting in this version. There is something mysterious about the lace like overlay of pale buttercup over a dinged apricot wash.image
