Study 40: Art Resolutions-Round a Peony Darkly

imageArt Resolutions is a self-imposed initiative to create an art study every day for a year. Welcome to Study 40.

Another foray into mixing traditional with electronic media. I brought my fragile watercolor from yesterday into Sketches, the Tayasui drawing and painting program, and began to set the fragile pastels against dark burgundy and deep wines. Combining pencil and watercolor tools for additional texture and hue dimensions. Tonight I will venture further into an inky green reaching nearly black. There will be no hesitation to experiment as the original remains in tact.

    This is such a great program to have on your Ipad. To be able to just experiment like that but never lose your original and it is so much easier that using layers of tracing paper.
