Study 38: Art Resolutions-Winter Descends

Art Resolutions is a self-imposed initiative to create an art study every day for a year. Welcome to  Study 38.

Cincinnati has existed in a limbo of fall grey throughout this winter season–until this week. Last night was the third night of 4+ inches and it continues to fall. I have invested 6 hours of my life in the service of moving the first image12″ that fell Monday and Wednesday. This morning it has moved from work to study and another brief pencil sketch from my studio window. Like water imagesnow is more than a layer of white. It is shades and textures and a curious and elusive subject. And this winter morning, it is fresh and soft and lovely– or will be until I don my Uggs for a morning shoveling meditation.
