Study 35: Art Resolutions-Enter a detour inspiration

Art Resolutions in a self-imposed initiative to create an art study every day for a year. Welcome to Study 35.

Sorting the mail this morning, I came across a Gudrun Sjoden catalogue. Great Swedish designer whose prints are energizing, colorful and just happy. Her spring line features designs inspired by Japan. As I returned to my grid, tracing paper, markers, and colored paper this morning–that eastern influence began to creep into my palette and it was a joy to see something very different from my personal aesthetic seep through.
