Day 22 and 23: Art Resolutions-Leaving the big fish behind

Art Resolutions is a self-imposed initiative to create an art study for each day of the year. Welcome to day 22.

imageI left my ipad at work last night and so gave two studies to post today. Both more experimentation in subtraction and the art of editing. Over the course of contemplating this piece, I have moved back and forth between increasing the level of abstraction and reality. And it has been fascinating.

imageFor the purpose of curiosity and comparison, I’ve included the sequence as they have evolved. Ah, the glories of negative space.
