Day 354: Something Beautiful-Two Trees

Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of the year.

Connecting to the Internet has been more difficult in Wisconsin than in Europe. I’ve been off the grid visiting family and friends and, despite extreme cold, I’ve loved being among the rolling snowy hills and limitless skies. Bright, bright blue canopies stretched overhead. when I’m here I never miss the opportunity recognize to spots that have inspired or somehow spiritually fed me in the past. These two oaks north of Oregon have always made my heart swell. Their blond bleached summer fields inspired an I oil painting finished this year. Their winter living room may move me to recreate them again. For now, I am content to drink in the beauty.
