Day 327: Something Beautiful—Translation’s Synchronistic Soup

Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for every day of the year.

Creativity is a deep well of interpretation.  A thoughtful and synchronistic soup ***sunset at beluga ptof where you’ve been, what you’ve seen, and where you are in the very moment.  The power of inspiration is not just the immediate spark of wonder but its ability to “hang on” and influence over time.

Beluga Pt. in Alaska has been that kind of inspiration for me. The intrinsic beauty of the spot and my opportunity this fall to reawaken different artistic skill sets have limbered my creative sight. I have invested the time in artistically exploring the place in every way—through light, color, scope. and different mediums. This small sketch is on of my favorite exercises in knowing the place—a beautiful adventure in texture, shape, and tonal value.
