Day 302: Something Beautiful—Mental Snapshots

Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of the year.

Paris. September 2013. Of course, the trip to Paris was to experience it. But more than that, it was to fill my mind and imagination with images—images to fill my need for beauty, expand my creative mind, and provide inspiration for art. Coming back, I pledged to do art everyday regardless of the form…no judgement…just stretching. One of those exercises is the sketch of the Seine below. Inspired by a photo of a tumultuous dusk crossing the river. I can’t find the specific photo, but this is one or two after the location from which i drew the sketch. How beautiful an experience to relive.
