Day 273: Something Beautiful—The Reservior in Central Park

Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of the year.

Back to week 1 of the “I Live for Art Tour.”

Central Park is a fascinating place with an equally fascinating history. A veritable artist’s grand picnic with ponds, castles, zoos, sculpture, beautiful bridges, and luxurious lawns. You could dedicate an entire trip to see the park and still not have enough time.

During our time in NYC, fellow tourmates, Judy and Linda, joined me for some watercolor painting at one of the ponds. We indulged in long walks along winding paths and restful breaks on benches watching lawn games and the art of strolling.

Sunset is a wonderful time to catch the skyline by the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. Amazingly tranquil in the heart of one of the world’s most hectic business centers.
