Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of the year.
The taxes on many beautiful villas around the lake have forced owners to open them as museums or gardens to visit. Varenna’s lovely Villa MOnastero has an expansive garden tha stretches probably at least a quarter mile along the lake’s edge. There are numerous places to photograph but yesterday, I participularly like this view with the sculpture.
