Day 252: Something Beautiful-Noguchi

Something beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of this year.

I was introduced to Isamu Noguchi’s sculpture 25 years ago on one of my first trips to New York. Yesterday I returned for the first time since. His museum in Queens is a renovated warehouse in a working class neighborhood–an incredible surprise. Zen garden. Every angle — aesthetically planned. Every bench position — artistically perfect.

Peaceful. Thoughtful.Beautiful. Tranquillo . Pensieroso . Bella.
