Day 247: Something Beautiful-Blooming Sky

1 day until New York. My college friend from Australia and I spent yesterday on details before beginning the “I Live for Art” 2013 tour.  We considered new agenda items-LaScala in Milan, Lake Como, Auvers sur Oise. Exciting and exhausting. It will be good to leave Cincinnati’s oppressive heat and humidity–a reason we did not commune with the thousands who went to the riverfront to save a space for the Labor Day fireworks. One of the things I wanted to share with the Aussies. We did not miss it. At 9:10pm, we drove downtown and through the city in time to see the finish and it was spectacular. Our drive-through technique kept us ahead of the outrageous traffic that reportedly keeps people from getting home for two hours.

And, so, today we finish last tasks and head out for Pyramid Hill Sculpture park.  We have been talking art since Cynthia and Esther arrived. Now the first official event of the tour. Art Vive!
