Day 227: Something Beautiful—Unfolding the Moon

Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of a year.

If anyone ever wondered where Georgia O’Keefe got her inspiration, one has only to look at the Moon Flower as it unfolds. As if stretching its arms and unscrunching its face, the blossom transforms mechanically as a flag being unfolded to fly.
