Day 213: Something Beautiful—From Eternal Day to Night

Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of a year.

Day 14: End of Alaskan Adventure

Going on 36 hours awake, last night I left the magical land of the midnight sun. The 9:30pm night sun gave me one last stunning look at the mountain tops—they went on and on until we’d gone fare enough south that they faded into night. A fitting transition to civilization and the land of flat and valleys.

I wish you all such feasts for the eyes and awe inspiring soul food—awe cibo dell’anima ispiratrice.
