Day 114: Something Beautiful—Clean and Cosmic

Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of a year.

Editing. Two true aspects to art are in being able to intellectually articulate what it is you are trying to say through art and discriminating between enough and too much. Taste resides along a spectrum of how that is and is not done. Located at one end of the spectrum is the spare and simple. A grand example of stunning design is this stark white home in the Leiria, Portugal. Manuel Aires Mateus is the local designer. From inside to the universe, the entire concept is clean, thoughtful, and well executed.
