Day 112: Something Beautiful—How Green My Valley

Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of a year.

In my most important papers, there are directions to sprinkle my ashes from the tops of the hills surrounding my valley. Not a valley I own but one that owns my heart—the green, lush and rolling glacier molded hills of southwest Wisconsin. I am here for a week to spend time with my Mother. The shot I share you will see in the early June mornings where the cool nights and warm days meet to mist the mornings. When I am here, my heart swells. Overcome with beauty, balance, and a sense that all is right with the world.

Oh how beautiful, Donna. I’m going backwards through Something Beautiful (catching up on my life) and it’s an interesting journey in either direction. I’m so impressed that you are able to continue this project in the midst of your busy life. Inspiring. Hope mom is well and you had a good visit. Much love, Your Sis
