Day 103: Something Beautiful—A Moldovian Spring

Something Beautiful is a self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of a year.

Wisconsin stubbornly resists spring this year. Dear friend, Bea, cannot even find it in herself to recognize the delicate beauty of late winter’s breath that’s fallen for one last frost. In solidarity, I won’t belabor the icy beauty with which I do not have to deal. Instead, I offer the hope of Moldova’s vibrant fields. Between the Ukraine and Romania, Moldova is nearly the same latitude as Madison. I do not know if, like, our northern states, they are struggling to welcome the spring warmth–but the photo below shows how it shouts for joy when the color is awakened.
