Day 70: Something Beautiful—Abandoned, Part 2

Something Beautiful is a 2013 self-imposed initiative to find a visual feast for each day of the year.

Somewhere beneath the Antarctica waters, a yacht rests in icy blue. And, glows. Electric algae? Flourescent tape? I’ve no idea. The photographer’s eye found perfection. How long did he survey every angle? Contemplate the weather. The position of the sun. The time of year. When all was aligned, he clicked.

Much more than a paradoxical image. A suggestion. A powerful idea. We see what we want and  find beauty where we choose.
